The Pottery is a working ceramics studio and a space for the local arts community. We believe artists should be able to earn a living doing what they love, so we keep our doors open for classes, workshops, and events. We cover the bulk of the costs so artists don't have to. The only fee is a small one passed on to participants, never to the artist.
Ceramics is at the heart of what we do, but The Pottery is open to all kinds of craft and artistic practice. We host a range of workshops and lessons across different disciplines, a space designed for exploration, whether you're a total beginner or have been making things your whole life.
Local artists run classes and workshops here on their own terms. They set the price, keep the earnings, and only a small facility fee is added for participants. The gallery and gift shop can also be booked for artist installations and openings with zero commission.
